You catch yourself reminiscing about when you were a child. In a blink of an eye, you are now a mom/wife of a teen(s).  Lately you’ve noticed that your child has become withdrawn, having a negative outlook, low energy, loss of interest and enjoyment of the activities they once enjoyed.  Your teen is constantly on their iPhone & you notice a change in their sleep and eating habits, doing poorly in school, isolating themselves from friends and family, showing risky or harmful behaviors, even possible suicide thoughts. Your child shares with you that they feel depressed, anxious and don’t want to go to school.  You try asking them what’s wrong, just to be yelled at, “nothing!, you wouldn’t even understand!”.  So, what do you do; you turn to your partner for support just to find yourself feeling angry, emotionally overwhelmed, invalidated and like something is wrong with you because your partner just wants to tell you how to fix it!

My name is Sandy Price, I am a bilingual Licensed Child & Family Therapist that’s been there, done that!  I am here to help you avoid the reoccurring mistakes and mishaps and help you find the connection with either your teen and/or spouse so that you can continue running your home in a healthier and happy manner.

I collaboratively work with each client to meet their specific needs through a systemic lens. I understand that your experiences may be difficult to acknowledge or talk about because of the shame, guilt, and stigma that may often surround traumatic events like dysfunctional home life,  domestic violence, neglect, emotional abuse, sexual, parent alienation, supervised visitations and physical abuse.  There can be many reasons to put off addressing your trauma and pursuing the healing that you deserve, but if you don't face your past, you risk being held hostage by it. Your life history is the summary of your own life experiences, from which you learn and grow.  Acknowledge the person you have become through your trials and tribulations.

Kristen Barrett-Intern Student, Supervised by Sandra Price, LMFT-S,

Boy mom; girl mom, mamma’s boy, daddy’s girl.  Who hasn’t ever heard one of those names? Family life, military life and/or military wife, husband, kids, In-laws, school, social media, after school sports and/or activities, cell phones, friends, celebrations, broken hearts and on and on we can keep on going, WOW! Who wouldn’t be overwhelmed with today’s pressures of having to do all, be all; and still try keeping it together.  Do you ever wonder how you got to where you are today? Do you find yourself questioning your life choices? I am sure we all have experienced the struggle, exhaustion of some sort in this crazy world we all call  LIFE!

Hi! My name is Kristen. After completing my first career calling of being a former schoolteacher of 14 years; I decided to make a career change to my second career calling as a therapist.  I currently hold a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education with a Texas teaching certificate. I have extensive experience with elementary kifds and adolescents. I have worked with every grade level from pre-kindergarten to fifth grade, including special education. I am a child of divorce parents, a military wife of seventeen years and mom of four children.  I know that I am able to offer hope and healing not only to kids, but also to their parents in a more systemic matter that would leave a longer and lasting positive impact in the family system. I am now a graduate clinical intern from Northcentral University working towards my Licensure for Marriage and Family Therapist. I will be supervised by Sandra Price, LMFT-S.

My experience as a teacher, wife, mom and all other life experiences have led me to my passion for therapy and helping others to heal. With a strong academic foundation and practical experience in therapeutic techniques used with the children at school, I am excited to start walking along with you in your journey of healing. Whether it be counseling individuals, couples, children, adolescents and/or families navigate life’s challenges. I  provide compassionate, non-judgmental, evidence-based therapeutic sessions to foster emotional well-being and personal growth. I believe we all have a story worthy of being heard and I would be honored to hear your story.

Vincent J. Price, COO, SVC, MSW,

As a 23 1/2 year veteran of the United States Marine Corps, I can honestly say that being a world traveler, police officer, husband, a dad, step-dad, grandfather, Master Social Worker, Child Protective Services worker, Licensed Security Officer, School Counselor, and Peer Support Specialist, that I have been privileged to meet, work, and volunteer in so many different capacities, and with a diverse population of all ages. Life experiences have taught me some fundamental skills that are not taught in school. One of them being a basic fundamental skill that so many people struggle with is, communication. Part of communicating is knowing to listen so we can understand someone else’s perspective.

I have enjoyed helping veterans, young adults, couples, and families communicate and co-parent in a more positive and effective way for the benefit of the relationships they currently have with their kids and family members.
